ShadAmy Version:
He arrives too late to save her.

He is in pain because this may be the last time he can express his feelings to her.
He feels its his fault for being to late to reach her.
Only she breaks his strong  and serious barrier.

Non ShadAmy Version:
Shadow in this version sees Amy as his outer concience .. someone whom he can talk to withouth being judged. She aceepts him the way he is and he in return accepts her cheerfull way of being. A true friend , Rouge is a comrade and sister but Amy always reminds him of Maria and the bond he once shared with her.

As she lays lifeless he tells her to be strong because she is loved and people around her needs her .
Sonic needs her because he loves her and Shadow needs her because he makes him a better person and he feels peace with her.
